Who the data controller is
The data controller, that is, whoever decides how and why your data is used, is Trattoria La Brenta (fictional restaurant), Strada dei Filari 7, 14036 Moncalvo (AT). For any question about your data, write to robella.vistaweb@gmail.com.
When you visit the website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To show you the pages, its servers receive the technical data that every browser sends (IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time) and use it to deliver the website and protect it from attacks and abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in having a website that works and is secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For some of its own purposes, such as protecting its network, Cloudflare processes this data as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy.
We do not use analytics, advertising or profiling tools, and the website does not load anything from other services when the page opens.
The map
The Google map loads only if you press the “Show the map” button. From that moment Google receives your IP address from your browser and may use its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. If you do not press the button, nothing is sent to Google: you can always use the “Directions” button.
Cookies
The website does not set profiling, analytics or third-party cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner (guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority, 10 June 2021). If Cloudflare detects suspicious traffic it may show you a security check and set a technical cookie (for example cf_clearance), which by law does not require consent.
To make navigation work, the website keeps a single temporary technical value in your browser (in the tab’s memory, not a cookie) to know whether you arrived from one of its pages. It is deleted automatically when you close the tab and is not used to identify you.
When you contact us or book
If you call us, message us on WhatsApp or send us an email, we receive your number or address, the name you use and what you write to us, for example the day and time of your booking. We use them only to reply to you and to manage the booking (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and we delete them within 12 months of the last contact.
WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited) and Gmail (Google Ireland Limited) also process data under their own privacy policies. These providers may process data in the United States, where they take part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing adequate protection.
Your rights
You can ask us to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR) by writing to robella.vistaweb@gmail.com. We reply within one month. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
